5th day as a mom

hi all. thanks for all your encouraging comments and kind words. its been great to see all the comments from you all!

i think diedre is so beautiful. i love to look at her and spend time with her. the last two nights have been challenging as she has seemed to want to eat constantly (8pm to 1am last night). its pretty exhausting but i made myself nap when she napped today. it really did help. at this point, they say her days and nights are mixed up. its not really a big deal, just a new experience.

she doesn't really cry that much but when she gets really worked up she cries "la la la la la" which i think is so cute. i told grandpa richard that and he said "ohhh, maybe she is saying "lait, lait, lait" like "milk." i thought that was pretty clever, it would make sense if she was bilingual since she's so bright.

i also love how she has such a good head of hair. its so pretty on her that i don't want to cover it up with a hat or anything, but sometimes you just gotta put a pink bonnet on a little princess, right?
