she was so happy to be back in the swing :)
VIDEO: diedre swinging
i ambitiously donned the Baby Bjorn with ezekiel in it and diedre in the stroller to head out for a walk to the park. unfortunately our trip took a turn for the worst when diedre tried to wipe off some wet equipment. the air was icy cold and so her wet mittens were making her hands too cold.
she passed the point where i could help her warm up outside and we had a fair distance to travel (by stroller). we were only 5 or 7 minutes from home, but my poor girl was inconsolable.
she was crying from the pain of chilled hands. i tried to get her to put her hands inside her jacket to warm up, but then she refused to let me zip up her jacket, so then we were travelling home with no jacket and no mittens and frozen little fingers :( poor girl!
asleep. we've been having major sleep issues with this blessed toddler. she has been having major separation anxiety (plus teething: eye teeth).
she cried with heartbreak for both of us each night so derek would settle in on her floor. after several nights of backache for him, he set up the futon mattress on her floor where the two of them would go to sleep on.
we pretty much resolved for the time being to send him to bed with her at 9 or 10pm and just wait to try to get her to sleep on her own again "soon." its been really stressing me out because i have absolutely no break from her (no naps--except the one pictured that occured at 3-5pm on the couch) and no time alone to visit derek either. its so sad when she was doing soooo well going to sleep and napping on her own. now she does neither and poor mommy is TIRED and stressed.
enjoying the play mat
sending a shout-out to all of you :D
