i walked in to check on her and her eyes were slightly open, she did a little smile cuz she saw it was me, and then this is how she looked when i got back with the camera. soo cute

diedre took a fish out of the bath with her. i bought a really cute fishing set for her. it comes with a little fishing rod and all these colourful fish that she can try to catch (when she's older. she just swims with the fishies for now).

miles & heather came to visit

miles came to play at our house

4 months old today!

4 months old today! i found my feet. i can hold them with either hand. i'm very flexible. i can even put my foot in my mouth just like mom! wow

no more smiles

i love my daddy and my jingle bear...but not the camera. she stopped smiling for the camera. whenever i pull it out, she puts away her smile. i tried to be stealth with it, but today was a weird day for not catching smiles. :( well at least she's not grumpy, she smiles plenty when the camera is away!

miles' adventures

miles spent a long time playing with the stroller, moving the wheels around by hand, then he stopped to study the flora

miles also enjoyed hanging out with his dawgs...down on their level (he's so smart, he figured out that if he pulls on their leashes, they will come to him, which the started to do; but when they saw it was him pulling, they turned right back around)

Happy Father's Day Derek

diedre is pulling derek's beard. he said it hurt.

diedre is so long. she is nearly 4 months old and is wearing a 12 month sleeper in the photo. she is thin so it looks baggy, but it fits perfectly in length when she stretches out.

diedre was making lots of expressive sounds (like screams, but happier). its really cute and she only does them during the day, so thats much appreciated too :)

serious business

diedre finally fits into the exersaucer! here she is really chewing on this toy...i think its teething time. she spends most of the day with her fist in her mouth, gnawing on it. i've been giving her a teething ring which she seems to appreciate during the day.

antics at the farm

rick and danielle discovered this fun hobby at a climbers camp in turkey. the goal is to learn to balance using a utility strap that has been cinched between two posts/trees. the guys set it up tonight and we had a go on it.

its supposed to be good for rock climbing training because it helps you learn to balance using either leg. its really weird how the first time you try to step up onto the strap, your leg is literally shaking like a leaf and you can't stop it until you put all your weight down on it. its quite a skill. here we are, showing off our skills:

Happy Birthday Brent party

he did very well but didn't know that he was supposed to give other people a turn...so just after almost hitting his wife when she tried to go in to get him to give another person a turn...he finished off the gorilla and shared all the candy.
