heather and i are both very competitive with shower games...we were a team this time, and good thing: we had to put a newborn diaper and sleeper onto this baby doll, we knelt side by side, wrapped our arms around each other and i used my left arm and she used her right arm to perform the task. and of course, we won!!! but joanna & her partner were a close second. here is kristin posing with the winning doll.
20 weeks pregnant
well i'm 20 weeks today! at this point the baby is approximately the size of a large sweet potatoe (6.5 inches) and 10.5 ounces. baby November is very active and moving around alot. we'll see if derek can feel the movement soon (with diedre, he felt it the day after 20 weeks). i still have not gained any weight (apparently i'm allowed to have gained 10lbs by now) and i'm hoping its ok...i see the doctor on july 4th for a checkup.
diedre is feeling much much better and has been chatting up a storm. she points and chats and laughs. its very entertaining to us.

16 months old today!
my baby diedre is 16 months old today! wow, time sure has flown by.
diedre has her 3rd ear infection. this one started quite different from the others; she had a very high fever but slept longer than usual.
she is on antibiotics and is pretty fussy most of the day and just wants to watch videos, not tv, but baby einstein videos...i haven't listened to this much classical music since i was pregnant with diedre!
it is so hot these days, its pretty crazy. i think we will get an air conditioner this evening because the heat really seems to settle in the house by 4pm. hopefully we can get one installed and working by 5 :D
i'm feeling pretty hot and tired from taking care of my sick child (since she wants to be held most of the time and its sooo hot). my belly has grown more and i will post a picture on wednesday, when i'm 20 weeks! craziness :D

19 weeks: ultrasound pics
here is our baby at 19 weeks gestation. looking good!

this pic is the most unclear, but you can make out the baby's arm quite well
i had a really nice ultrasound tech. it was exciting to see the beating heart and the full bladder of our little one. derek and my mom were able to come in for a viewing too. the baby's kicks are getting a bit stronger so i am pretty sure derek will be able to feel it soon. if only his hands weren't so calloused :) it would probably be easier for him. he was able to feel diedre kicking on the day after 20 weeks, so that would be next thursday for this pregnancy.

we decided to go to the car show to celebrate father's day together. it was pretty interesting and there were lots of yummy snacks like mini donuts :)

18 weeks pregnant
22 weeks to go...wow time flies!
my due date is 5 months from tomorrow! nov 15
feeling pretty good these days. i still need lots of sleep and am tired alot but thats probably more to do with my existing mothering role :)
the baby is having a real growth spurt right now too, and so am i, obviously!
i am feeling very excited about this pregnancy right now and excited to see how diedre is growing up more and more. i am sure she will make a great big sister :)

yay! mom & richard are finally here! we've been text messaging all week and checking on their progress online using google maps. its been alot of fun but we are so glad they finally made it! they plan to get settled in chilliwack where my mom has a job lined up for july :)
